Starting Conversations and Social Interactions

This course shares tools to help us be more intentional about our connections.

This course shares tools to help us be more intentional about our connections. Over the past few years, how we communicate and our comfort levels when meeting people in-person have changed. In this course, you’ll create lists and do some self-reflection prior to having conversations to set you up for the best outcome possible. You’ll reflect on what's important to you and what qualities you have that make you unique, as well as what needs you have that can be supported by new connections. You will also get to practice different types of conversations based on if you are more sociable or if you are more reserved, as well as gain an awareness of the most appropriate topics to discuss during first meetings.

In this course on Starting Conversations and Social Interactions, you’ll learn the purpose of meaningful conversations, how to expand conversations, the best places to connect with people, and how to use verbal and nonverbal communication to convey what you’re feeling. You’ll also get to consider how your personality type can factor into the type of conversations you have and how to make the best first impressions.
