Universal Waste

There are many common misconceptions when it comes to universal waste and how to properly dispose of universal waste items. The EPA has created a clear set of guidelines and practices to help ensure that universal waste is discarded in the proper way. This makes it easier for organizations and individuals that handle universal waste products daily, while also ensuring that the environment is protected from many of the harmful substances found in common products, such as batteries and spray aerosols. 

In this course on Universal Waste, you will learn common practices for storing, labeling, and disposing of many of the common forms of waste present in the modern workplace. We will cover common waste such as batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment, lamps, and aerosol cans. By the end of this course, you will be able to handle universal waste and ensure you are doing your part to keep harmful contaminants out of the environment.
